the recent review by Roger Shepherd of Flying Nun Records got me to revisit this old import from back in the day. it failed to impress 26 years ago but it blew me away on a more recent listen. sounding alternately like an antipodeal Pixies or an inverted Replacements, Superette covered all the bases of larger bands in a power trio format. the bass lines on this are insane and the pound away drumming of Greta Anderson is something to behold. all three band members contributed to the writing, so ... read more
