Bi・Ki・Ni

I swear this cover art wouldn't be as attractive as it is if that sexy hat wasn't there, like DAMN that's a nice hat. The girl is cute too I guess.

This is some real good city pop and is a vast improvement from the last offering from Anri. The voice is beautiful soulful and passionate. The music is funky, groovy, poppy, and also soulful for the ballads. It's just a consistent and enjoyable listen throughout the record and you won't get bored of it. Good stuff!

Baddie cover art.

1983 was Anri's year. Seriously her two albums, "Bi・Ki・Ni" and "Timely!!" are two of the most legendary disco/boogie city pop albums of all time. Unfortunately, "Bi・Ki・Ni" is definitely forgotten over "Timely!!", however this is just as great as the latter. I think the slower songs in "SEA SIDE" hurt this album just like in "Timely!!", but here I don't feel too strongly for them here. ... read more
