Slowthai’s decision to yield the floor to Blake and Mount Kimbie is a wise one. The track is poignant because the rapper dials down his previous desire to be the loudest person in the room. A new chapter of the bumpy Slowthai story has begun, and his willingness to take a step back and let the music do the talking on ‘feel away’ could prove to be its first masterstroke.

Nice verse from Slowthai in tribute to his late baby brother, but I spent the whole time wondering how James would fit on this Mount Kimbie beat, but he slid in like butter. What was Mariah Carey doing on the end lol.

But honestly, given that I love all artists involved, it was a no-brainer, and the music video's lovely. I hope slowthai is simultaneously making strides as a human being, I think he deserves a second chance and is owning up to his actions

Slowthai pulls off this very mellow and moody ballad quite well, I love James Blake's vocals, Slowthai's storytelling and delivery are on point, I like it.
Edit: This one is just amazing, I haven't heard it in a while, but now that I relistened to it, the watery piano keys are pretty, I love that instrumental and when it hits hard, it's undeniable. James Blake's contributions are amazing and Slowthai delivers one of his most heartfelt performances ever.

slowthai's "Nothing Great About Britain" ranked among the best rap albums of last year, but his latest trilogy of singles following the NME controversy (excluding his Disclosure/Aminé collab) has been underwhelming at best, obnoxious at worst. Luckily, "fall away" has bucked this trend both in terms of subject matter, style and, most importantly, overall quality, showing us the more vulnerable and personal side of slowthai's work while also taking a step back and ... read more

The best song i heard from Slowthai so far, probably one of my favorite pop singles this year. James Blake vocals are totally on point, the video was very funny yet touching with him dedicating the song to his brother
