CRITIC REVIEWS

80
Drowned in Sound

While Humor Risk less instantly memorable than Wit’s End, it’s a lot easier to digest and is probably the record you’ll end up spinning most out of the two.

79
Beats Per Minute

Nothing about the eight tracks on Humor Risk seems spare or accidental, as the record is expertly plotted and paced

76
Pitchfork

There are a handful of solid songs on Humor Risk, though, without an outright dud in the bunch

70
Consequence of Sound

Humor may not exactly be a love record, but its road-ready ballads and attitude toward life are a bit more encouraging than — and a perfect compliment to– Wit’s dark ruminations.
