Her debut album, Strangers / Lovers, is a veritable koldtbord of slick, danceable tracks that capture both the euphoria of love and the defiance of heartbreak.

It proves Dagny can more than hold her own alongside her contemporaries, her textured narratives and smoky and commanding vocals setting her apart.

I'll be completely honest, I discovered Dagny a few years ago, was very impressed with her music, time passed, and I was waiting for her to drop a debut album, she took quite a while, and I pretty much forgot about her. She's got some wonderful pop hits on here, but the lyrically content and production fall a little stale at some points leaving you wanting more. It's a strong debut album nonetheless.
Though releasing the album in two separate parts was questionable at best, the first 6 tracks showcase the magic and eccentrics you'd find in a debut album from a promising upcoming artist, with tracks like "Somebody" accompanying songs along the lines of "Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda", as Dagny teeters the line between heartfuls of pop and keeping it on the down-low, respectively, even if the latter of the two pieces becomes overused throughout the album.
