Beats Per Minute

Not as much here quite consistently matches the melodic transcendence of Balloons‘ highlights, and that Thurday manages to stand on its own at all is an achievement in itself.

Consequence of Sound

The album is incredibly solid and even more successful when viewed in perspective.

No Ripcord

The music is busier, giving Tesfaye less space, but it sounds more like part of an overall evolution than a mistake.

Pitchfork

Though there's less breathing space on Thursday, and fewer melodic hooks, it still feels of a piece with House of Balloons.

"Thursday" is easily the weakest of the trilogy of mixtapes. It doesn't add anything new to "House of Balloon"'s formula and there are moments like "Gone" that dragggg. Despite that, the rest of the album really shines through with an enticing atmosphere, great vocals and beautiful production... while also containing one of Drake's best performances.

The weakest of the mixtapes by far. Lots of the tracks are forgettable. The tape still has it's highlights but it far outshone by the rest of the tapes.

BEST TRACKS: The Zone

WORST TRACKS: Gone

Idgaf, this is the best of the three mixtapes. It has my absolute favorite Abel song in the birds pt.2 and people hate on this shit way too much

Copy + paste the tracklist for his 'best of' for the real ogs.

The weakest mixtape out of ‘Trilogy’, but still amazing. It drags a couple times throughout, and the lyrics aren’t quite as encapsulating as the other tapes. Love this nonetheless.
