My Agenda shows a certain urgency through an explosive and intense album that hasn't finished making people talk. If the first one drew their portrait and exposed their strong potential, this second one is an exceptional dive into their world and their struggles. It is an open-hearted album, an experience retracing their personality through something even more raw than in the past, like a digest of raw feelings and energies.

Born in Houston Dorian Electra is one of the modern and innovative ... read more

And they said that Idles was blunt.

Dorian Electra is one of those artists that you are either going to love with all of your heart, or hate with every fiber of your being. While hyperpop has become a lot more mainstream due to artists like Charli XCX and 100 gecs leading the large for pop music to go into more abrasive, cynical and experimental direction, Dorian has always been a hard artist for most people to pin down exactly what they are all about.

And frankly, I believe that ... read more

A Micky T hot take?????? Those are quite rare!

Despite 'My Agenda' having some incredible moments I can't really say that I enjoy it in it's entirety.

I want to get on the Dorian Electra hype train, believe me I do since they've made some great music not only on this but also on 'Flamboyant', but 'My Agenda' just feels kind've rushed to me, with ideas that get predictable real quick, some tracks feeling thrown together like an absolute mess and writing that feels underdeveloped. With the ... read more

"hyperpop" what the hell are you talking about. You sound insane. What the hell is that, music that plays when you forget to take your meds? Music for before the tranquilizer shot? When I'm hyperpop I take bath salts. Have you ever been outside or do you live right here on AOTY? Another made-up genre I'm too cool to understand! Well, I can somewhat appreciate this record on a technical level but, in the same way, I appreciate a backyard trash burning. Nuff Said? Nuff Said!

king dorian returns with some hyperpop tunes; they self released this which is a POWER MOVE.

the production, mixing, and engineering are quite impressive.

they even got Village People on the title track.. dorian has imperceptible amounts of influence.

“Gentleman” is a track for which i bow down. it’s brief and catchy with a unique mix of jazzy horns and trap beats.

scratching all over: the beat is looking everywhere for its place.

Dorian Electra is certainly an enigmatic figure, defying cultural and gender norms in such an in-your-face way that some might even view it as campy. If you do, you'd be right on the money, as Dorian once said in an interview, “Camp sees outside of the status quo, and also has a sense of humour, to cope with it, that’s knowing but also sincere.” Dorian Electra revels in the camp, as they exaggerate their personality and fashion sense to the highest possible degree, not just in ... read more

When Dorian said that they weren't going to release an album this year and then suddenly announce one, I was kinda skeptical at first because I thought this record would feel very rushed and thrown together without much in the way of quality. However, I found that there was nothing to worry about on "My Agenda". It's weirder, more abrasive, feature-PACKED, hypersexual and gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyer than "Flamboyant" without letting go of the witty writing, innovative ... read more

Didn’t listen more than once, but I liked it.

However, I did notice how much sexual tension there is between Dr. Dre and Eminem between SSLP to around the Relapse Era.

What was Eminem doing to Dre in his basement? Why was he so intent on square dancing with Dre? Why did he literally confess that he loved him in 2001 while he was high?

“My Dad’s Gone Crazy” has jarring evidence, like “I’m out of the closet, I’m lying my ass off, all this time me and ... read more

Edit: Hi everyone, I saw in the comments I few of you people pointed out that I referred to Dorian as "she" when they rather to be named "they". I didn't realise and I'll make sure to use the preferred pronoun for future reference, thank you for being respectful about it!

We Live In A Society in which us Gamers are ridiculed, mocked, shunned, bullied and ridiculed for simply choosing to undertake a hobby which requires critical thinking, lightning-fast reflexes and JUST AN OUNCE (in case you can’t tell, that is an understatement) more brainpower than what is required your typical ball game. Oh how I wanted to love this album, but I just can't get into it.

Over the last year I've began to warm up to Dorian Electra's debut album, 'Flamboyant' so I was really hoping that 'My Agenda' would be the album that finally reserved my ticket on the Dorian Electra hype-train, but instead I was left sorely disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, it's got it moments, especially when it comes to the vibrant and dynamic production on tracks like 'F the World' or 'Ram it Down', but there's just too ... read more

Gentlemen, Gentlemen..Calm down.

Unfortunately, I'm a little underwhelmed with Dorian's sophomore LP. The fact that "Flamboyant" is the debut and this is the sophomore is confusing. "Flamboyant" is a razor-sharp thematically and lyrically, the production is innovative and in-your-face whilst also being just elegant and colorful enough to transcend shock value. "My Agenda" is inconsistent, unsure of itself and frankly a little one-note.

It's just disappointing ... read more

8.9 - Amazing

This is DEFINITELY not for everyone. But it sure damn is for me.

This has definitely been one of my most anticipated albums of 2020. This is probably due to their amazing debut, Flamboyant, as well as the amazing singles to come before this album’s release. More specifically Edgelord and the title track have been some of my favorite tracks to release this year, and everyday I was waiting more and more to listen to this release. And oh boy did it not disappoint.

To me, ... read more

Packed as dirtiest as possible, 'My Agenda' sounds like nasty screams trying to make a suggestion. It's an unusable auto-tuning sound, a failed attempt at serene chants, and overall like a big flop. It will be a little better than their debut album, but still, it is just as awful as the worst of their genres.
