Dandelions is a hidden gem in Kurt's back-catalog: gentle, loping, warm, and all those other tiresome adjectives that seem to acquire new life in Kurt's capable hands... The rest of this EP is less essential, invested in more traditional and formal tropes of folk music, but still remains quite pleasant and well-executed. The John Prine duet is particularly inviting.

Favourites: Dandelions, How Lucky
Least favorite: N/A

Why the low ratings? I get it that he doesn't really go out of his confort zone here, but it's one of his best release in a looong time.
Dandelions is really something.

More Kurt Vile is a gift in trying times. It's a raw, fun stoned-folksy set that I'll definitely buy once vinyl drops.
