‘Apolonio’, its title taken from his middle name, is a subtly eclectic ride through timeless funk licks, ultra-modern sensibilities and nods to Apollo’s Mexican heritage. It aches with unrequited feelings but, musically, sets the young star up as the new master of steamy bedroom jams.

Look, for this kind of bedroom pop shtick, I tend to discount the problems of inadequate content and lacking lyrics if the instrumentals are catchy and the vocals are attracting, but rarely do I find something redeemable here.

I wouldn't say I really liked his previous work, but Stereo was a nice experience. This however, takes a few steps back, despite the clear showing of a bigger venture. The album cover makes my skin crawl a bit, and why are there butterflies ... read more

listening to this is like switching to different radio stations after each song but you're trapped in an endless loop of tracks that are occupied by the same tiktok-era lyrics

more contextually weak and generic pop that rips-off good artists and James blake disappointing, today IS NOT A GOOD DAY FOR MUSIC... save for Dorian Electra hmmm...
