Nu Metal gets way too much hate for its cheesiness and raunchiness, but people don't give shit like HU their deserved and rightful criticism. This is just Demondice for frat bros who somehow grew up with both Limp Bizkit and MCR.
Highlights: Undead, Young, βBlack Dahliaβ, This Love This Hate, Paradise Lost
(From His "Did These Albums Hold Up or Age Poorly?" video)
“The biggest thing for me is that they don’t stand out musically very much. A lot of the riffs are very, very simple and basic and super repetitive melodies. They borrow from themselves, their flows don’t really have that much of a spark to them. Don’t see that as a total ‘I would never, ever listen to this’ because get me drunk enough and I’m gonna wanna hear this album.”
WAY. TOO. MANY. PARTY. SONGS. This really kills Swan Songs' chances at being an album I'd wanna come back to. The more serious stuff is unsurprisingly some of the best on the album, but even then it sounds incredibly dated and doesn't really hold an impact.
For the 200 rating, I pick an album that
I listened a lot as a kid
But back in the day i dont understand shit of english but i loved the sounding
And now this is so bad holy shit, is like bad that hurts
The sounds are dated and basic and has some criminal lyrics, not in a funny way
-90 points for Charlie Scene being a goofy weirdo pedophile
+10 points for the nostalgia
