Greatest album of all time. The sound of this album is amazing, along with Black Thought and the features on this albums work. They paint a vivid picture of the life of Redford Stevens and the struggles of life in Philly.

An absolute improvement over How I Got Over. The Roots take their jazz rap sound and pretty much improve it on all fronts, every track here is good if not great and feels so genuine and from the heart.

For me hip hop has an artistic importance in my life. In many ways I can't share the direct intentions of the artists but I can share a few ones (fortunately). But the point is for me hip hop is almost pure inspiration, the correct sample in the correct bar. And connect with a vision of life in a state of discovery.
