Danger Mouse solidifies himself as one of the best and most interesting producers ever off of this album alone and Black Thought's lyrical talent and interesting delivery shine on this album. I love that he wasn't hesitant to collab with some new generation rappers, as this album has one of the best featurelists of the year.

Favourite Songs: Sometimes, Strangers, The Darkest Part, Because, Belize

A textbook example of a phenomenal and timeless rap album, just immaculately crafted from start to finish.

As far as the Hip-Hop genre goes in 2022, this is by far my favourite album of the year. Nothing's gonna top this.

Danger Mouse & Black Thought are the perfect duo I didn't know I needed. Excellent, smooth production + unstoppable flows. Fantastic features too from the likes of Run the Jewels, Michael Kiwanuka, Joey Bada$$ & MF Doom (RIP).

Love every song on here, but Strangers stands out the most for me.

That's sooooo good oh my god!
Fav: Aquamarine
Production on antoher level. Gonna be the modern classic

I know that this rating seems weird or unfair, but hear me out. The album is really good! Black Though brings in really good verses, probably some of his best since the first volume of his "Streams of Thought" series. Meanwhile Danger Mouse is obviously creating really good classic hip-hop beats for him to rap on! This duo just works and I wouldn't mind hearing another project from the both of them! But, this album isn't perfect and some songs have some problems, whether it would be ... read more

Danger Mouse picks up where he left off with Gnarls Barkley and Danger Doom, while Black Thought continues to make a case for being a top 5 rapper.

I've been wanting to become more critical of projects but this is an unfair comeback.

I've been sitting and dying to listen to this project and i'm so glad that I can finally listen to it with a great full experience. Black Thought's bars and intelligent writing is welcomed by Danger Mouse's vibrant and groovy beats, a duo I knew that was gonna fit perfectly together. The features are all around great. Raekwon is always a joy to hear, but the mixing was weird with his voice, every feature that ... read more

The production is amazing, the lyricism is basically perfect and this album has the best MF DOOM feature in a long time. I really love how they only had New York rappers on this whole project. They all have some similarities in their rapping styles and accents so it really adds a level of cohesion to the project. None of these tracks are boring and they're all engaging. Strangers goes so hard it's insane and I love the closing track to the album because it sounds so beautiful. Definitely a ... read more

This is a nearly flawless album. Virtually perfect. Black Thought's intricate rhymes and complex, layered lyricism blend perfectly with Danger Mouse's lush beats. The production on this album is absolutely exceptional. The beats aren't strictly hip hop ... read more

Only thing stopping it from a 100 is Identical Deaths.

Danger Mouse & Black Thought work together to release a throwback to older boom bap from better times, but some songs do a better job with that than others. Some samples work really, and amplify the song into being extremely memorable. The opposite happens often, however, and a lot of the lyrical prowess is lost because of the deafening garbage under it. Danger Mouse definitely made mistakes here and there, but overall did great here. My favourite part here was, oddly enough, the features. ... read more
