He can really, really rap, plus sing and emote and put on a show better than 90% of his hip-hop counterparts.

If it wasn't for the nostalgia, this would be like a 40. Bonfire and Heartbeat make me remember the older days

A pretty solid debut album. Gambino shows that he can match flow and lyrics to any mainstream rapper. However, one major downside is that his own insecurities strangle a lot of his deeper messages and truths.

While now-a-days Childish Gambino is a larger then life project, back when Childish was getting started, it was kinda hard to take him seriously, as he was one of those artists like Eddie Murphy or Matt Berry who was famous before he went into music. And on Camp, it kinda shows.

I used to like "Camp" when I was younger... but GODDAMN did it age terribly, especially compared what he would do later. Donald Glover has the versatility of a good rapper and it seems like he wants to touch upon some big topics, but it's immediately ruined by his obnoxious, squeaky-voiced persona.
