The Guardian
There’s plenty of romantic devastation in pop songs with friendly beats and buoyant melodies on Rachel Keen’s album, but it’s not distinctive enough.
Update 11-26: certified (not-so) guilty pleasure!

Nothing if not consistent! This album, quite surprisingly, delivers 9 (at least somewhat) Euphoric Sad Songs. More importantly, the whole thing is one big vibe with just enough ear worms that I keep coming back already. No top 25 of the year tracks here or anything, but not one dud! Looking forward to see if she can build an identity from here!
RAYE's debut album is a fever pop dream. 'Euphoric Sad Songs' are the literal mood of the project, every song sounds very summer but feels very winter, I found comfort in this bittersweet state.

Love of Your Life 7.2/10
+: natalie don't
This is pop perfection. The title says it all: most of the songs are dance-worthy, while still having sad breakup lyrics. I can't even choose a favorite song right now because I absolutely enjoyed them all! This is definitely one of the biggest surprises of the year.
