On their self-titled EP, Communions attempt to place their mark on the map of post-punk, sounding more cold yet fragrant in a sound way.
On their first couple of outputs, Communions sounded like another Lo-Fi, Post-Punk band, not unlike fellow danes Iceage. But they lacked the the raw nerve that made Iceage so unique. On their new EP, the band has settled on a more rounded and well produced sound, that i liked right from the beginning. Reminded me a bit of Smith Western, and thats really all i need.
