Simple, braggadocious, moody, catchy and explosive. Rocky made it seem effortless with how great his debut tape is. His intoxicating flows and Clams Casino's most consistent piece of production was more than enough to overshadow the rapper's kinda weak lyrics, which doesn't matter that much because the vibe from this is strong as hell. Truly one of the most essential mixtapes of the decade with very great replay value.

A$AP Rocky, Harlem rapper has gone from virtual anonymity to fame in a few months. This "pretty motherfucker" as he likes to call us has simply delivered a mixtape that is easily superior to the 95% of studio albums in 2011, whether by the quality of productions (by the genius Clams Casino) but also by the talents of the young emcee. A$AP Rocky debut mixtape is full of hedonistic hippie bars influenced by the houston culture and a trippy production curated by clams casino, spaceghostpurrp (that sadly raps consequently reducing quality of some songs) and a$ap ty beats (a great producer that apparently left the mob).
His singing/rapping flows create an intense stoned atmosphere that he hasn't replicated yet on his successive albums and after almost 8 years this continues to be his best project.
