Mirkwood forrest.
Wolfgang Voigt's second album under his most popular stage name, Gas, is a disarmingly grim and haunting ambient techno record. I guess the closest thing to its atmosphere would be the song Volcano off Soundtracks for the Blind, sans the vocals. Much like the album cover itself, Zauberberg sounds like a descent into a muffled forest, with a grim and empty rave going on somewhere in the distance.
