The two rappers show great chemistry on their collaborative mixtape, even if Future sounds like he’s dragging slightly.

Beats Per Minute

It sounds like 16 songs that Future and Lil Uzi Vert recorded together and threw onto streaming services without much consideration for sequencing or changes in theme and sound – because that’s what it is.

Rolling Stone
This low-stakes collaboration attempts to fuse the two stars’ aesthetics, with mixed success.
The Needle Drop

Uzi and Future cancel each other out on Pluto x Baby Pluto.

Although you should never expect anything from a collaboration and project of this type, Pluto X Baby Pluto is so predictable and unsurprising that it will leave you with a bitter taste. Future and LiL Uzi Vert does not show any particular ambition, staying in an absolute comfort zone, as if it was finally enough no matter what. Sloppy.

One day I'd have to stop dreaming, but I always have this kid's soul reappearing. What was I really waiting for? A successful hiphop album of collaboration ... read more
It’s a Future and Uzi project. Both artists are rich as fuck and are going to be richer from this EZ bake mixtape.

It’s nothing new, just mid trap music. It fills a niche

Granted, I didn’t have super high expectations for this, but seeing how Eternal Atake and High Off Life were some of my favorite projects from Uzi and Future and are currently some of my favorite trap projects of the year, I was at least hoping for it to meet the bare minimum bar of quality. Instead, we got this. This is easily one of the most generic listens of the year. It’s also one of the most half-assed. Seeing how little effort was put into the quality of ... read more
King of the collab albums Future comes through with another one that isn’t fantastic but features some great highlights and interesting production.

Pluto X Baby Pluto isn’t great, but fans of these two will love this. The production is great, and the more aggressive and weirder vibe it presents allows for some hard hitting bangers. Uzi and Future aren’t the best or most entertaining rappers, but I think they do a pretty good job and have decent chemistry. The more melodic ... read more
Admittedly I didn't have high expectations for this project, as this type of collaborative trap album between two household names doesn't usually turn out great. Nevertheless, I wanted to hear what Future and Lil Uzi Vert had to offer, as I enjoyed both of the records they dropped in 2020, "High Off Life" and "Eternal Atake", respectively.

Truth be told, it came out as I expected, a handful of highlights but most of it sounds like filler or decent, phoned in ideas that were ... read more
