'Good kid from a m.A.A.d city, no minivan'
DJ Scheme teams up with his close collaborators, Cordae and Ski Mask the Slump God, for his lead single to his debut album, 'FAMILY'. The vocals from both of them are more vicious than I've ever heard them sound before, with the chemistry being wonderful too. Y'know, this song had the recipe for a real banger, but I'm just really underwhelmed by the final result. The beat here sounds like a worse version of "Go Stupid" by Polo G, Cordae's performance is just alright, Take A Day Trip was pretty boring here, so Ski Mask carries the track with his short, but urgent performance full of clever wordplay. So yeah, this could've been a much better song.


It's a fairly good song. The instrumental is a pretty standard trap beat and while it doesn't have any standout features I still think it's alright. Cordae's opening verse was also pretty standard as he brought everything I'd expect him to. He had good lyrics, an entertaining flow, and decent wordplay.
