Metal Hammer

It is ... the most intense and sonically frenetic they’ve sounded in a while.

That a band could summon this much emotional and musical intensity is impressive enough. That God Is an Astronaut are still doing it twenty years on makes Ghost Tapes #10 remarkable.

Ghost Tapes #10 won’t be for everyone. It’s a challenging listen that works best as backdrop, not front and centre.

while the cover of this album bothers me a lot for some reason, there's a decent bit to like about the music on this album. admittedly, there are a couple of duds, but there are also some pretty great songs.

fave tracks: adrift; in flux; fade; luminous waves

least fave track: spectres

Intense music to listen to in a dark and small venue filled with people drinking a pint slightly head banging.

A quite underwhelming record, with a great start but soon starts to get worse over time.

This album is an intense instrumental journey. I think it's a nice example of its genre.
