I know my parents love this dude, I guess I see the appeal but it just isn't for me. Compiled is some adult contemporary with undeniably talented vocals and a great orchestra. For all its splendor, it just isn't very dynamic and is pretty boring.
Something is seriously wrong with the sound engineering on several of the tracks. Josh is overpowered by instruments particularly the piano. The worst are the first track "The world we knew" and then "Angels" which is ruined. The album notes explain that this is a compilation of many separate recordings made in various parts of the world and then mixed together.
