They might not like the goth, but the goth likes them, and ‘MACHINA…’, at odds with its mean, lean reputation, can’t resist flounces and frills, wandering about in pale distress like a girl in a second-hand wedding dress.
Radio is a commercial-bloated joke. When's the last time, Pitchfork reader, you heard your favorite song on the radio? Who even listens to the radio? Who finds solace in FM? I mean, shit, what do they even play these days? Oh. The Smashing Pumpkins.
This is actually pretty good
The first entry in a duo of albums that are now seen as some of the most odd in their entire catalog.
The final record featuring original line-up of The Smashing Pumpkins is quite frankly their first mess. Corgan has always been a bit pretentious but on Machina it's taken to another level. This is album is a sort of grand concept album which fails by being overly bloated in length. Every song on here goes on for far to long and there are far to many filler tracks.
