This is one of my go to black metal albums and also my favourite Emperor record to date. Their LP Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk takes their black metal sound and amalgam it with the orchestrate soundscape which at that time wasn't much of a thing to begin with. The track list goes darker with the boiling guitar and drums. This is an outstanding black metal album that any heavy-metal fan who hasn't listen to this, damn well should check it out as it's a classic for a good reason.
am surprised with this record the orchestration and the symphonic element was topnotch and it was rarely used with metal at that time.. the lyricism is great also you can't deny that it's truly one of the best black metal record can find
