Another album that’s nice to listen to for something new, but I won’t be coming back to. The Sun is my favourite from the album.
Between Lorde, Kimbra and Broods, New Zealand has been an unexpectedly rich source of great indie pop acts throughout the 2010’s. A surprisingly solid and ambitious album that somewhat lives up to the greatness that is "Young Blood". Some tracks don't work as well as others, but I can really appreciate the effort that was put into making this a complete experience. Good stuff!

2010 was the perfect year for this album to come out. The decade was turning. We would enjoy five years of an indie boom before music streaming services began to dominate and influence the culture to an unexpected degree. With the debut album of the Naked and Famous, we got an earnest pastiche of musical influences from the first decade of the Twenty-first Century before we left it behind completely.
