First half of the album checks off on all it's Bay sound essentials. Updates the hood with a warning about digital tricks. Second half of the song E-40 really shines and brings some solid grooves. E-40 is an acquired taste. You have to hand it to him that he's invented his own lane over the years.
Damn their last collab album was really 8 year ago already? Well, they're back with more of the heat bay area rap fans will definitely fuck with. They're paying homage to all the split albums rappers did in the aughts. 40 really never misses, his album content is almost always on par with any of his best sellers. Too $hort hasn't been as consistent over the last decade or so, but he kills it here. For what it is, it's another successful bay rap album, but I doubt it will interest any mainstream ... read more
