Didn't process that this album has big boomer energy until now, a song about growing old, people always on their devices, and even a song about listening to audio books. Still love it though.
can someone explain to me what the appeal of weezer is?
is the draw that they're shit in a sort of endearing way or something?
every album seems to be a shitpost or inside joke that i'm not in on, were they good at one point?
I spent a whole year on this site to gain the energy to disagree with the sites rating consensus on an album. Give me a cupcake i can form my own opinions lmao
*announcer voice* MATTHEW VERSUS MATTHEW. THE BATTLE OF THE 1000 WORD WEEZER REVIEWS. WHO WILL COME OUT ON TOP AND BEAT THE COMPETITION? STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT. 9PM PACIFIC. WE ALREADY KNOW MATTSREVIEWS IS GOING TO BE WAY BETTER. BUT IT'S FUNNIER LIKE THIS.
After listening to the single I must say I'm quite scared. This sounds like weezer when they go generic generic but with an analog production and no guitars. But it's as generic. Why?
Just here to share that the album art was done by Mattias Adolfsson and he is absolutely incredible. He also does all of Dance Gavin Dance's album art.
From what I've been heard about this so far, it could either be their best album since pinkerton or they could completely flop on their ambitions and since it's weezer I'm leaning towards the second option
