On his second album of 2020, the underground New York rapper reaches a new level. The vibe is calm and bittersweet, as Navy Blue sinks deep into the recesses of his mind.

Song of Sage solidifies Navy Blue as one of the standout voices in this burgeoning strain of abstract hip hop.

Navy Blue exists in that cool valley in between not trying too hard and not trying hard enough. Some sort of chillin' yin yang of rap where you can throw on a jazzy beat and hear him say a lot and nothing simultaneously. Poetic, yet rambling. This duality has always what perplexes many and entrances the artistic minds of his contemporaries.
