This has me hyped for Four Tet x Merzbow next. Fourzbow.

i normally love records that sound like shit, but this genuinely just sounds like absolute shit, no thanks

This album on the other hand, the 2nd of 2 surprise albums from Four Tet in late 2020, isn’t as new, or nearly as consistent. Recorded between 1995 and 1997, it’s much more amateurish and shows Four Tet really trying to string together ideas and concepts and find his sound. For some, that can be really exciting. But it’s sloppy and not nearly as consistent as Kieran’s work would eventually become.
