Clash
A rapper who is impossible to predict – even by those closest to him – Conway The Machine’s latest about-turn has resulted in a career high. ‘God Don’t Make Mistakes’ is a stunning, multi-faceted achievement.

The Needle Drop

Conway reaches a peak of consistency and emotional impact on God Don’t Make Mistakes.

AllMusic

Easily Conway's most impressive work to date, God Don't Make Mistakes is a culmination of everything he's experienced and achieved so far, and a bridge to the next phase of his life.

Beats Per Minute

God Don’t Make Mistakes is a complete body of work, Conway’s best to date, and one of the best rap albums to come out in 2022. Consider this the moment where Conway became that guy; consider this body of work his origin story.

HipHopDX

God Don’t Make Mistakes makes it harder to argue that Conway isn’t one of the best lyricists in Hip Hop today.

Exclaim!
Credit Conway for cranking out a smartly written collection of street rap and not stretching too far out of his zone just because he's now on Eminem's label.

On his most personal project to date, the Buffalo rapper laces intimate narratives with battle-ready barbs over an ornate collage of haunting boom-bap.

“God Don’t Make Mistakes” clearly you never heard the new Tom MacDonald x Adam Calhoun album

Oh and I’m still not super into Griselda’s music, but as far as their projects from 2019 onward this is probably the best thing any of them have done so far, at least from what I’ve heard.

It's an immaculate, concise 12 track hardcore rap album in 2022. Decidedly old school. This is Conway at his peak delivering an awesome project that features some of his darkest and most self-reflective material. The last half of the album starting with "Wild Chapters" (and with the exception of "Babas", which is the only miss on the album) is some real top end hip hop and a pleasure to listen to.
