Really, it's the kind of album that an artist could use to make Their Name, and not a minute too soon for a phenomenally talented rapper.
With The Forever Story, JID turns in an album every bit as ambitious and monumental as the two solo studio outings that preceeded it, growing in terms of technical talent while also opening up more lyrically.
JID raps like a Harlem Globetrotter on The Forever Story; the skills are there, it’s littered with flashy displays of technique and it sounds better than fine most of the time. But there’s nothing on the line: at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who wins the game.

This is incredible hip hop. The flow from JID is incredible. The bars are all there, and somehow the hooks are catchier than ever.
I hope this continues through the whole album. My jaw has hit the floor a couple of times already. Absolutely loving it.

I listened to the version with 2007 which is the perfect album closer but even without that this album is amazing all of the rhymes and beats are amazing and memorable absolute masterpiece.
