One of those fantastic records where you just can't stop grooving along with it. Emeka Ogboh takes the sounds and atmosphere of downtown Lagos and distills it into 4 excellent performances. Featuring really strong grooves, the opening track, Lekki Aiah Freeway is deep and enthralling, one of my favourite ambient tracks in a long time.

I really like this album, and have listened to it 4 times in the last week. Ogboh's clever use of the sights, sounds and smells (imagination, people!) of Lagos are invoked through his compositions, and the heritage/aesthetic of Nigeria's music mixed with electronic samples and beats. It is hard to pick out a favourite, but opener Lekki Aiah Freeway certainly packs a punch.
Groovy, repetitive, and spacious Nigerian ambient IDM. This has some great moody sections and is very effective at creating a world. One reason for this is it’s inclusion of field recordings of what sounds like a slightly busy town centre. I couldn’t stop myself from placing story on some of the repeated background sounds until it becomes it’s own unique instrument. I loved the percussive elements here.
