I'm a first-time listener to Collier. I was baffled by this EP and it got me to dive in to his four-album project, Djesse. His music being heavily influenced by that of the 70's and 80's mixed with contemporary styles in indie pop really flourished here. I'm a new fan of Collier, and I think I'll be a listener for a long time. Great EP, and i'm looking forward to the final installment of Djesse.
Jacob has far more chilly records (except for the Time to rest your weary head) but I guess they are all in the past. I’m still dreaming of Wild Mountain Thyme to be released, but

Very chill EP, circling around a couple of genres and ideas, some feature rap verses here and there, some not really ambitious lyrics, and everything tied up with Collier's typical multi-layered harmonized vocals, but in an extremely minimal, tranquil style. Kinda disappointing that the most complex and rich song of "Jacobean Chill" is actually the last one, preceded by five, rather bland, tracks.
