Really enjoying this, makes the best metalcore riffs and precise, intricate drum lines. never gets old or boring but some points feel really very predictable and cookie cutter. Either way though, it is done extremely well and really hits the spot when you need to just lay and think
Very fresh take on both post-rock and djent as a full instrumental album. I am not usually a huge instrumental person, but I definitely enjoyed this album a lot. They are super under the radar and worth the time if you like Periphery and Their Dogs Were Astronauts. I would love to see this remixed in the future with some vocals over them or even have multiple vocalists remix this album. Either way, this is fantastic.
Instrumentals that make me nostalgic due to the fact that the last band I listened to like this was Explosion in the Sky but a lot heavier and faster paced. Its an attractive album if you want some noise to pass the time or multitasking. Its good!
For Giants makes a mix between progressive and post-rock that sounds really enjoyable, with the second half of the album being a bit better than the first one.
Very cool record, but I kept wanting lyrics, even if it were minimal. For being a long-distance record, this was very well done. I enjoy imagining long-distance bands like this working on each other's stems, playing around with ideas over discord and making some really cool work influenced by the differing regions the members live in. Very cool, and I'm excited to see what will come next from For Giants.
