Look, I absolutely love Madvillainy to death! It’s my favorite hip hop record of all time, left an undeniable impact on my music tastes, and is one of my all-time favorites for just being one-of-a-kind, creative and genuinely stunning!

However, I’d just like to forget that this shit exists, and we all should too.

In my humble opinion... this is the Dragon Ball GT to Madvillainy's Dragon Ball Z.

Not a lot of peopl-

*no one considers this to be a worthy successor. Madlib pulls through with some great leftovers, but this album fails to even come close to the original's calibre, and fails to craft any new and interesting material. Leaving us hungry in the cold... forever..

I can now for sure say my favorite thing about Madvillany was Doom and most defiantly not the production. TBH Madlib always kind of bugs me, the way he uses samples just feels annoying. Like someone accidently recorded a TV in the background while the song was being recorded. And now that he has a chance to make this album again…what does he do? NOTHING! ABSOULTLY NOTHING!
