I first heard Aaron Watson back in 2017 with the release of his eleventh studio album Vaquero, the follow-up to 2015's acclaimed The Underdog. At this point, I had just truly started to come into my own as a self-described "music critic," so maybe I was a bit too harsh on it, but I wasn't really into it.
