Heading into this, I already knew I was going to get an amazing listen. When Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman get together, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a quality track from them. However, I wasn't expecting something this good. This track dropped as a tribute song for MF DOOM which is also where the instrumental comes from. Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman do a tribute to MF DOOM utilizing a remix of Poo-Putt Platter and it's absolutely amazing. I've always loved Aesop's top tier rhyming composition with his incredible flow and creative ideas, but it felt stripped because of his monotone delivery and not having strong pathos. This song gave me goosebumps the first time I listened to it and it still does... This song is just phenomenal.
Let me explain: The beat from MF DOOM's "Poo-Putt Platter" was always one of my favorite beats and I'm so glad they chose that one. You can see that Homeboy Sandman & Aesop Rock didn't use any confusing effects or something on the track, it was just simple, excellent rap from both of them respecting the illest villain.
