'Don't Play' is a decent collaboration between KSI and Anne-Marie on a Digital Farm Animals beat as the song had pretty good performances from both of them. The vocals from Anne-Marie on the chorus aren't close to amazing, being very boring, but are beautiful on her verse while KSI's thick vocals don't do much to make the song sound any better as they're only above average. I’m not a KSI fan, and I fully went into this expecting to hate it, but surprisingly I don’t. The beat is solid, the hook is catchy, and KSI doesn’t ruin the track. It’s corny af, but pretty enjoyable.
"Don't Play" is another poppy house hop clubby banger that follows in the "Really Love" footsteps, but it's not that great this time. There are things to enjoy here, I think the lively smooth beat with those harps is pretty good, Anne Marie's performance on here is nice, but KSI barely shows up on his own track, and when he does, his verse is autotuned to oblivion, which was something I really disliked on "Dissimulation", plus his verse isn't all that good ... read more
Another KSI song that sounds a little poppy. I dig it! I like the instrumental and Anne-Marie's hook a lot and KSI also brings a pretty good verse to the table! I'm definitely going to listen to this song again.
Don't play Don't Play by Ksi in any other way than on mute.
