I don't normally comment, but in this case I'm quite disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm from users about this quite remarkable album. I can tell the real music lovers here. The transition from uplifting to bleak to uplifting again took me with it, unsuspecting, and totally bought in. The spoken word is written with intelligence and meaning. The music which sits behind it is technically complexed and delivered with excellence. It fits the mood of the lyrics and takes you on the ride.
Go into this with your full attention and an open mind and you have one the best LPs this year already. (Alongside floating point.....another masterpiece)
The british music press staight up loses their shit every time a mildly above decent british/irish record comes out, and starts giving out 10s like there's no tomottow. Like is an Independent or Nme 10 has any significance anymore?
