A record that truly recaptures that lo-fi sound the band rocked and reveled in for so much of their discography.
It shouldn't work at all, but the overall product - while a bit uneven - is something to celebrate.
Their voice as a band is still a unique one, and it sets them apart from their peers now, just as it did in the 1990s.
Spotty, strange, all short songs and shitty sound
As a whole, the album’s sound suggests that of a band on auto-pilot
Let’s Go Eat the Factory works as an offering to those obsessive enough to be satisfied just to see Sprout and Pollard up on the same stage and little else.
not very interesting.. like at all. there's a few tracks i kinda like but the rest just leaves me mind-boggled. The Bears for Lunch is so much better
And, I quote "Spotty, strange, all short songs and shitty sound" - Paul Thompson - Pitchfork
My suggestion: Use it as a means to make your own music while drunk and acting as if... You possess more talent than inspiration. Then, forgive yourself the next day making sure to drink plenty of water.
