DECENT

Indian indie artist Bodhisattya Pal shows glimpses of great artistic talent in his new EP. Like many artists, however, his EP also shows many signs of growing pains as he experiments with different sounds, languages, and even genres.

While the production and singing could be improved at times, it didn't stop me from appreciating the melodies, lyrics and concept of the album. The concept is an astronomer who has to make a choice between chasing his dreams or finding comfort in stability ... read more

Bodhisattya Pal offers up a very interesting EP of several odd sounds that shouldn't work, but kind of do

Astronomer's Dilemma is an eclectic mix of a singer-songwriter guitar and vocals with Trap/Electronic beats with some Hindustani influence thrown in for flavour.

This is definitely interesting. I think the first 2 tracks are the worst, and I didn’t love to trap beat on it, felt extremely out of place. Rocket of Your Dream - Its mixed a little bit better and contains some pretty solid singing and guitar playing from Bodhisattya Pal mixing a trap beat with indie.

Pitch Black Sky - It marks the shift towards more of him and his guitar on this one and is one of the more soothing tracks of the EP.

"However, there are still budding singers who can’t get on the radar of these big companies and aren’t even lucky enough to get a spot on a reality show. Indian singer Bodhisattya Pal is one such case. He graduated in BSc Agriculture and has always been an art lover, sharing his opinion about books and movies. This cultural-artistic side of his has flourished in recent times, causing the desire to produce art, which resulted in the release of his first homemade EP, ... read more
