The best boyband since One Direction is finally back.

Watching a band that is as unfaltering in their constant knack for creativity and vision as Brockhampton is in action is a truly mesmerizing sight to behold. I honestly feel bad for anyone who won’t be able to get into Brockhampton’s music before their supposed disbandment at the end of the year as following around the artistic metamorphosis Brockhampton has foregone since the days of the Saturation trilogy has been like ... read more

The light is so goddamn bright.

Me and BROCKHAMPTON I feel have this strange connection. Obviously not a friendship (Reminder that parasocial relationships can be extremely harmful), but rather I've felt, only upon taking a look at my own life, that I live in parallel to BROCKHAMPTONS artistic journey that they have taken across the mere 6 years since their formation. The groups rise to power is stuff of legend, with the idea of a large group of friends trying their hardest to make music they ... read more

RoadRunner is one of the most sincere and singular albums of Brockhampton, as much thematic as in the writing. It's a beautiful adventure as well, but I think the interest is mostly in some individual songs more than in the whole

Formed in Texas in 2015, Brockhampton has quickly become in a few years the favorite Hip Hop group of the listeners, while yet the format "group" in the genre occupies a small place nowadays. It is necessary to realize that apart from a few duo (or even ... read more

I was honestly worried about how this album would turn out considering its unusual rollout. I didn’t really love their “Technical Difficulties” series, the album’s release being pushed further and further back, a handful of snippets that I wasn’t super impressed by, and the longest amount of time the collective has ever worked on one album had made me expecting something below their typical level of quality. However, now that we have the final product, ... read more

The thing that makes Brockhampton unique in the contemporary hip hop scene is also their achilles' heel for me. The vocalists are all awesome in their own ways, but I feel that some of them are definitely putting in more effort to carry the belligerent and ethereal feel of 'Roadrunner' than others. It's like getting some really good dick during a gang bang, and then comes one or two dudes that do a pretty lousy job when it's their turn with you. It happens every time I'm in a gang bang... shit, ... read more

WHO LET THE DOPE BOYS OUT!!!

ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE has probably been my most anticipated album of the year so far. And for good reason at that. I’ve been a huge fan of BROCKHAMPTON for 2-ish years now, and they were extremely important in my love of music as a whole, along with Tyler, the Creator. Their chemistry, style, and vibe all around is unmatched to anything I’ve listened to, and they are one of the most unique acts today. I took a break from ... read more

Pro-tip for everybody that's already a BROCK fan, listen to ROADRUNNER trying not to compare to the other ones, cause this one has it's own house, backyard and pool. This time around BROCKHAMPTON decided to go harder but smarter, bringing even more upbeat songs than usual, the group is going places that probably won't be comprehended right now.
There's some really great bangers in this, and some fillers of course (I would be shocked if all the tracks were non-stop fire). Overall the project ... read more

new light, new machine, new beginnings, and new journeys. rocketeering themselves in a tumultuous blast by "Buzzcut" the boyband returns in heat and energy, it's a great return to form that shows that BROCKHAMPTON has not lost it's touch in one iota, the band is perfectly capable of executing high octane bangers and mellow chilled-out tunes, this album taking on more of the latter; what ends up resulting is BROCKHAMPTON's most lush and gorgeous album, an impressive change of direction ... read more

Roadrunner is my least favorite good album ever.

It's hard not to apply my own view and what I believe what a Brockhampton album should be to this. Which in contrast to this almost completely new style they go for, way more traditional rap focused with long lyrical passages and very little of that old Brockhampton ™ production, well I was dissapointed to say the least. But then I stopped and asked myself if any other band made this would I feel the same and the answer is no. If any other ... read more

This is on par with the first saturation or the second. Third one is still better. But this is a fun fucking album. I hope the next one really isn't their last and they are just marketing it that way. I'd hate to see that.

Roadrunner feels like the next step in the evolution of Brockhampton and is almost exactly the kind of album I was hoping for from them. This is my favorite Brockhampton album.

Looking back over the last few years, not too many artists have been as important to my music taste as Brockhampton. It was around the time I got into Brockhampton that I started broadening my music taste, and their music has been a huge part of my life and has in a way felt like the soundtrack to the last few years ... read more

WHO LET THE MOTHAFUCKIN' DOPE BOYS OUT?!?!?!

The Broccoli Boys are depressed and after a generally consistent career... yep. They're still depressed alright. "GINGER" also dealt with some of the boyband's most personal lyrics, but I felt it faltered in other areas. "ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE" is a whole different story, however.

"WHO LET THE DOPE BOYS OUT", shouts Kevin Abstract in the opening cut, and one of my singles of the year, "BUZZCUT"! ... read more

"Roadrunner: new light, new machine" é o primeiro album do grupo que ouço e acho que foi uma boa primeira impressão do grupo. Vi alguns no site dizerem que o álbum era mais para os fãs e seria mais difícil gostar do disco caso não fosse um, mas mesmo eu não sendo realmente um fã deles eu gostei muito dele.

Achei que o álbum é um pouco puxado pro pop, principalmente na segunda metade do disco. O que me ... read more

I wish more mainstream artists would see what brockhampton is doing and realize that you can be ambitious and creative & still make easy to digest music. Roadrunner is the perfect mix of batshit bangers & reflective moody ballads.

“THE LIGHT IS WORTH THE WAIT…” – Joba the Wise One, 2021

On their 6th studio album, beloved Texan boy-band BROCKHAMPTON make a record that is a culmination of all the maturation and genre-fusing the group has exercised over the last few the years. And despite there being an uncharacteristically long gap between projects, I promise their latest exhibition is W O R T H T H E W A I T!

This week I have taken the liberty to recap on the band’s extensive ... read more

If this doesn't prove the boys are growing apart as a collective, I don't know what else would. It's almost one member per track sometimes, which is fine to me because this fucking SLAPS

After listening to GINGER, I kinda thought that BROCKHAMPTON was going to keep their music in a safer zone and continue to put out commercial projects that wouldn't live up to the greatness of their earlier stuff but thankfully I was wrong. I was so wrong. Their newest release, ROADRUNNER, is a surprisingly good return to form, and I'm glad to say that it's up to par with the SATURATION trilogy. Actually, it might be even better than some of those records. It feels like a combination of all of ... read more

Brockhampton is back. This was actually really good. It doesn't compare to the other records by them for me, but it's for sure a banger of an album. I'm not dissapointed at all. There's barely any filler honestly. I thought it was pretty interesting. This is definitely the best record I've listened to so far this year.

After a few years and five albums BROCKHAMPTON simply hadn't captured me in the way it did for many others, from their highly acclaimed album series SATURATION I-III to their two follow up albums iridescence and GINGER. I have gained a great deal of respect for what the self-proclaimed boy band have been able to achieve in the last four years they have been releasing proper albums; whether that be their DIY ethos, their large collective approach and collaborative nature, or their ... read more

I really like the direction BROCKHAMPTON is taking their music in, quite a bit actually. This is peak production from the group (WHAT’S THE OCCASION? was actually crazy) and songs like WINDOWS seem to flow very well between each verse with great deliveries from everyone involved. Saturation 1 & 2 will always be my favorite BROCKHAMPTON albums since the energy present on those projects has been unmatched, but I’m fully aware that the group is maturing and experimenting with new ... read more
