velocity:design:comfort turns pure chaos and insane glitch into something beautiful with ease.

I don't know how anyone else feels about this but if any album takes the no. 1 spot for experimental it's definitely this. I could say this album sounds like nothing else I've heard (which is true btw) but I'd just get more experimental IDM albums shoved in my face and I get that, but people who would do that are missing one thing that's pretty important to why I find v:d:c so special, it sounds like ... read more
EDIT: holy shit, this clicked HARD

the only electro-shoegaze i have ever heard, and probably the best as well. the production was unnecessarily glitchy and reverbed at times, but the piece as a whole was pretty great. the vocals were very light and ethereal, which added to the atmostpheric style of this record. i was not expecting what i got, but what i got, i appreciated. velocity:design:comfort is miles ahead of its time, as this style of electronic music really wasnt as good as it is ... read more
If my eardrums were capable of experiencing orgasms, that would sufficiently describe the listening experience I had while listening to this album.

Also: that walled vocal/synth riff about halfway through “Fruitcake and Cookies” > any other reason to be content with existence.
I've often pondered what exactly I mean when I give an album a perfect score. Obviously it means I love it a lot, but why is a 100 so special. It's funny how if you give an album a 99, that's not at all the same score as a 100, yet they're only one number apart. Numerical ratings are pretty stupid, but it's still an interesting thing to question. Why is that sacred 100 so significant?
