I realized I had some albums that had really shitty anime girl covers in my library and I had the brilliant idea "hey. What if I listen to them all at once? That'd probably confuse some people."

I don't even know what I was expecting from these. Giving your album a SUPER GENERIC anime cover is making a statement. Either that you don't care what others think of you or that you're very generic. Ranking the April 7th Weebapalooza™ worst to best:

What I expected: a generic pandering anime album with a smidge of metal lazily thrown into it.

What I got: a bunch blood-curdling screaming anime girls yelling at me with aggressive guitars, all in a language I don't understand.

This is the debut album from HANABIE., an all-girl metal band from Tokyo with a ton of attitude. It's a seriously killer blending of j-pop/rock and metalcore with plenty of unexpected elements to really tantalize the tastebuds. Not really huge on metalcore, but I ,do enjoy the sound the band presents, a metal in equal measures djenty and j-poppy, having idol-esque vocals piercing through the fierce instrumentation , some really intense growls, and pretty good breakdowns,punctuated by and anime-op like clean sections.
