on their fourth album the Kenniffs move beyond the limits of their previous work and construct a complete, cohesive project that demonstrates all their various strengths. their second album, Broken Devotion, had some stunning moments but had some limitations of structure. their third album, Stray Fantasies, was more free-flowing to solve the structure problem, but the songs were much less compelling. this album isn't perfect, and even though it exudes an air of spontaneity and improvisation, it ... read more

Every song is just so good. The way they manipulated her voice to be part of the instrumentation as it dissolves and evaporates with the ethereal ... read more

I see some people are divided with the album, but in my sincerity I do like it. A Rising Sun served as marvellous appetizer, and the following tracks didn't disappoint me although I expect and want more. I mean I'm a hungry potato after all.

Key tracks : A Rising Sun, Pulse
