BAD

I have a guilty pleasure for most house music....i love this stuff so it's rare I give low ratings in this genre. But to be honest, if i heard ANY of these songs at a party or club i would see it as a perfect opportunity for a bathroom break. One whole hour of horrible dance songs; it's actually laughable how each one lacks melody. I really don't understand what he was going for. Damn, i miss Avicii.

The opening track Lost is an average house music song at best and it all goes down hill ... read more

I didn’t know anything about Black Coffee before listening to “Subconsciously”, and I’m sure he has an influence in African Electronic music that I don’t understand due to my ignorance. But god damn, this newest record is rough.

I could tell before researching that Black Coffee is a DJ because “Subconsciously” runs more like a dance mix than an album, with each track being longer than it should and all of them falling into a similar groove and tempo. I ... read more

There's virtually nothing special about this album whatsoever. This seems like a Diplo or David Guetta song that was strung out an extra four minutes each, except it's not interesting in any way. Can't see any of these songs in a playlist ever. Wish I had better things to say, but don't.

House music is definitely the only sort of electronic music I've ever gotten into and am familiar with, I listened through the whole thing and while I enjoyed the features the actual sound of the music was a bit lacking. House is a perfect balance of ambient droning and transitions into upbeat moments which Black Coffee kind of misses the target here. It wasnt terrible, but it defintiely couldve been a lot more enjoyable to listen to.
