This LP is kinda frustrating to me.

Erra's sound has always been, to my ears, very fresh in the increasingly uninteresting field of djent-y metalcore. The technical prowess of the guitarists and the band's clear talent at building an emotive and hefty atmosphere cannot be understated. That said, Erra has also always received a bit of criticism for certain facets of their sound.

Namely, the one-note nature of the harsh vocals from JT Cavey and the overreliance on djent tropes.

ERRA made probably one of the best decisions in moving to UNFD and putting out this record with them. It is going to be very tough to knock this album off the top of my AOTY list and I am excited to see multiple bands try. Seriously, this is definitely the best work ERRA have ever put out.
