Thanks to his effortless knack for an earworm melody and uncanny ability to wring such vivid emotional textures out of his analogue hardware, much of FUF3 is already deeply buried in my psyche, nestled somewhere alongside Boards of Canada and horror films my parents forbade me to watch a child.
TOBACCO is probably one of my favorite artists of all time. From his work with the legendary group, Black Moth Super Rainbow to his solo albums, everything has resonated with me. Therefore, I'm definitely a bit biased and I'll preface this by saying that if you're looking for a more fitting introduction to TOBACCO, I'd recommend the first "Fucked Up Friends" from 2008.

This doesn't hold up as well as the original Fucked Up Friends, but it is still really fun! I enjoyed the glitchy production as always with Tobacco, and I am a SUCKER for these synths. Towards the end this album definitely starts picking up a lot more. A really enjoyable listen that is just overall a ton of fun.

Maybe I'm just excited for the new music, but I swear this might be Tobacco's best album. At the very least, it has the best sound. Hot Wet & Sassy was a solid album but I found it a little too abrasive for repeat listens. I felt the same about Sweatbox Dynasty--a solid album but saved for a rainy day.
