So wait... this isn't an album of cut songs and demos? Cause from what I heard, I got that impression.

It's not that this is bad or anything, it's just quite uninteresting compared to the last few albums they released before this. I'm really not sure what the goal here was, to be honest. It's hard to really pinpoint down what this album really is. Is it a collection of demos? Apparently not. Anyway, I will say this album does have its highlights. It's Got Old and Hot Wax are great, fun and ... read more

Moving on to the 4th album in King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's discography, Oddments. I was expecting a different style on this album much like how the previous albums have been with their stylistic change ups but no, this time around the band decided to just mix elements of psychedelic rock and garage rock, both styles which they've done before ... read more
Oddments is a weird record. They stand out quite a bit. All in all, I like the album, but I really hope that later down their ... read more
King Gizzard's fourth album is the first one so far that I don't really care about. While far from terrible, I just didn't feel much enjoyment from this. It shows off more of the same sound as some of their previous albums, but it just feels a lot less interesting. Although there are some truly great tracks scattered here and there, I feel like the more forgettable ones are much more prominent, and it doesn't help that there are a couple of just boring songs.

Admittedly a tad bit inconsistent in theme/sound for an album, but it is still chock full of bops.
