So wait... this isn't an album of cut songs and demos? Cause from what I heard, I got that impression.

It's not that this is bad or anything, it's just quite uninteresting compared to the last few albums they released before this. I'm really not sure what the goal here was, to be honest. It's hard to really pinpoint down what this album really is. Is it a collection of demos? Apparently not. Anyway, I will say this album does have its highlights. It's Got Old and Hot Wax are great, fun and ... read more

Oddments is a weird record. It's pretty much described by its title: the album is entirely made up of B-sides, or odds and ends, from songs that didn't make the cut from, what I would guess, King Gizzard's 1st and 3rd records. Because of this, the album seems to be pretty all over the place, and ends up feeling unfocused and underwhelming. However, I love the more slow and hazy cuts on the project. They stand out quite a bit. All in all, I like the album, but I really hope that later down their ... read more

King Gizzard's fourth album is the first one so far that I don't really care about. While far from terrible, I just didn't feel much enjoyment from this. It shows off more of the same sound as some of their previous albums, but it just feels a lot less interesting. Although there are some truly great tracks scattered here and there, I feel like the more forgettable ones are much more prominent, and it doesn't help that there are a couple of just boring songs.

Favourite Tracks: Hot Wax; It's ... read more

Admittedly a tad bit inconsistent in theme/sound for an album, but it is still chock full of bops.
