Songs for the Enamel Queen is a monstrous and intense project which I consider to be the band's best album yet by miles, and my AOTY for now. Their sound on this release resembles similarities to what they showcased on their 2013 EP, and even on their 2015 project, but now with a less experimental approach, something that makes the album a lot more consistent and accessible. However, this change in style hasn't affected their lyrics a lot, which covers nihilism to sexual topics.

SO glad I came across this one. Naturally, the first time I heard this crushing jam, I dropped everything and dove head-first into Black Sheep Wall's entire discography. This seemed like one where I had to get a feel for their vibe and their general growth as a group.

Such a fucking cool musical aesthetic with the clean guitars blended with the doomy distortion and I actually love the artwork too, that middle section of ‘Ren’ was fantastic and so was the second half of ‘Prayer Sheet For Wound and Nails’.

How I wish I could do the vocals.
