Since the beginning of her career, Colleen has been searching, and this questioning, comforting, quietly stunning album reveals the good things that can come out of pain and grief.

PopMatters

On The Tunnel and the Clearing, she takes us even deeper into her fuzzy, dubbed-out analogue sound-world. Who could ever want to leave?

She might still exist somewhat on the periphery, but this is another instalment of quietly intriguing music, ornate and intricate, but also organic and alive. It’s good to inhabit her world once again.

Beats Per Minute
Overall, Schott still has much to give, and much to offer this particular genre of minimalistic abstract pop, but she may need to do more next time around to take her considerable skills even further.

It is absolutely fun to dissipate once in a while. Let your body go to wherever it is that it wants to go. Just allowing the music do its magic with your full consent and participation. It's such an otherworldly thing to do.
